About the Band

Bay Area Salsa Dura Est. 2015

Formed in Daly City in 2015, Los Kimberos was created from a deep love for salsa, culture, and the powerful connection that Latin music brings to people. Since the beginning, the band has carried the heartbeat of the Bay Area into every performance, bringing high-energy rhythms and unforgettable nights to audiences across San Francisco and beyond.

Blending the soul of classic salsa dura with the fire of timba and modern Latin influences, Los Kimberos delivers a sound that is both timeless and electric. From blazing horn sections and driving percussion to smooth vocals that capture the spirit of old-school salsa, every performance is built to move the crowd and keep the dance floor alive.

More than just a band, Los Kimberos represents community, tradition, and the vibrant Latin culture woven throughout the Bay Area.

Our Story

A Family Legacy

Los Kimberos was founded by the visionary Anthony "Tony" Price, whose passion for authentic salsa and dedication to Latin music built the foundation of the band. Tony's spirit, energy, and love for the craft continue to inspire every performance and every note played.

"Tony built something that was bigger than music — he built a community. We honor that every time we play."

Following Tony's passing, his legacy lives on through Samuel Villazana Price, who stepped forward to carry the torch and continue the family tradition. Under Samuel's direction, Los Kimberos honors its roots while bringing fresh energy to the Bay Area salsa scene.

The Latin
Rock House
Casa Bandido

Shortly after Tony's passing, the community paid tribute to his lasting impact by painting his portrait on the iconic Latin Rock House, also known as Casa Bandido, in San Francisco's Mission District.

Owned by local musician and cultural figure Richard Segovia, the house is a vibrant landmark celebrating the birth and evolution of Latin Rock in the Mission.

Tony's image now stands among legendary musicians and cultural figures — a permanent reminder of his influence, passion, and contribution to Bay Area Latin music culture.
